AVer Information announced that starting Nov. 1, 2024, NDI (Network Device Interface) will be standard across all AVer ProAV cameras. NDI functionality will be automatically enabled via a simple firmware update, with no action needed from customers. Existing users with non-NDI models can also upgrade for free after Nov. 1, unlocking NDI benefits at no additional cost. AVer says it will not raise prices as a result of this enhancement.
NDI is a video-over-IP standard that allows high-quality video signals to be shared across standard Ethernet networks. It eliminates the need for dedicated video cables by transmitting video signals over the same network used for data. NDI enables low-latency, high-resolution video streaming while minimizing bandwidth use, making it an ideal solution for users who want to simplify their AV setups without sacrificing video quality. With NDI, devices can easily connect and integrate with a wide range of video production applications and tools.
For current customers who own non-NDI models, AVer is offering a free firmware upgrade to enable NDI functionality. This integration will come standard on all future AVer ProAV cameras through the same automatic firmware update. AVer says its goal is to make it easier for customers to utilize NDI’s advanced streaming and connectivity features, providing powerful video capabilities without additional costs or hardware.
