Planar has announced the release of its new Planar Simplicity P Series, an expansion of its Simplicity Series lineup, with displays designed to meet demanding 24/7 digital signage requirements. Available in sizes ranging from 43 to 86 inches, the new large-format LCD displays are built for continuous operation across applications like wayfinding, emergency messaging, advertising, and digital menu boards.
The Planar Simplicity P Series includes options for multi-touch interaction, with all sizes offering models that support up to 20 simultaneous touch points and fine-tip stylus input, providing a versatile solution for interactive installations. Each display features 500-nit brightness and integrated media playback, making them suitable for a variety of indoor environments.
Planar’s new display series follows its recent cybersecurity certification for the Simplicity M Series from the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), meeting the EN 303 645 standard. This ETSI certification is designed to establish a security baseline for IoT devices and protect users from widespread cybersecurity risks.
The displays also support landscape and portrait orientations, maintain the Simplicity Series’ ENERGY STAR certification for energy efficiency, and come with enhanced security features that meet stringent global cybersecurity standards. The energy-saving certification highlights Planar’s commitment to reducing operational costs and supporting sustainable practices in digital signage solutions.
