AVer’s New AI-Driven Camera Enhances Patient Safety and Monitoring

AVer Information has unveiled the MD720UIS, a medical-grade, all-in-one PTZ camera designed to enhance patient monitoring and telehealth capabilities. Powered by Edge AI, the camera runs on an Android operating system, enabling the use of multiple apps in Picture-in-Picture or Split Screen modes for improved diagnostics and patient care.

The MD720UIS leverages AI to support healthcare professionals by detecting patient falls, monitoring bed exits, and employing facial and eye tracking for enhanced safety. Its built-in two-way audio with AI noise reduction ensures clear communication, while IR Night Vision and continuous monitoring features provide round-the-clock support. Should any adverse events occur, caregivers are instantly alerted, allowing for prompt intervention.

Offering flexibility, the MD720UIS includes 20X optical zoom and 4K imaging, delivering clear visuals and seamless data transmission over a single Ethernet cable with PoE++ connectivity. Privacy is a top priority, with features like Local Privacy Mode to halt audio and video transmission and an automatic Mosaic function that blurs sensitive areas in its view.

The versatile MD720UIS can serve as a telehealth camera, a virtual nurse on carts, or a bedside monitoring solution. It seamlessly integrates with peripheral medical devices to display critical data on monitors, further enhancing the quality of patient care. Compliant with TAA and NDAA standards and holding EN 60601-1-2 Medical Certification, the MD720UIS meets rigorous industry regulations. The device also comes with AVerCare’s three-year warranty, which includes a 24-hour replacement service in the first year.
