Extron has released the NAV D 121, a new AV-over-IP decoder designed to provide a streamlined, budget-friendly option within its NAV Pro AV-over-IP product family. The decoder receives visually lossless video, audio, and control over standard 1 Gbps Ethernet networks and outputs to HDMI for professional AV applications.
Built around Extron’s patented PURE3 codec, the NAV D 121 supports 4K/60 video with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and ultra-low latency—making it suitable for real-time, high-resolution environments that require performance without compromising image quality.
The decoder includes an HDMI output along with RS-232, Digital I/O and IR ports, allowing control signals to be extended to remote locations without the need for additional processors. This supports flexible, decentralized system designs in meeting spaces, control rooms and enterprise AV installations.
NAV systems can scale to support thousands of endpoints and function as full AV matrix systems over IP. The platform combines the reliability and security of Extron hardware with the flexibility of network-based distribution, offering AV professionals an integration-friendly alternative to traditional matrix switchers.
Extron says the NAV D 121 is purpose-built for demanding AV environments that require secure, high-quality signal distribution with centralized management and long-term scalability.
