
Leaders from Universal Destinations & Experiences and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will headline a panel discussion at InfoComm 2025 on how technology is reshaping immersive experiences across entertainment, gaming, and media.
The session, titled “Experience Economy: How Technology Is Shaping the Next Generation of Immersive Experiences,” will take place Wednesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. in the Valencia Ballroom (W415AB) at the Orange County Convention Center. The panel is open to all registered InfoComm attendees.
Dang Ly, senior vice president and chief technology officer at Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Jeff Zabel, global industry specialist at AWS, will join moderator Todd Hougland, senior director of design and development at Ripley Entertainment Inc., to share insights on creating impactful, tech-driven experiences.

Ly, based in Orlando, oversees digital experiences and business operations across Universal’s properties in North America and Asia. His portfolio includes award-winning projects like Universal Beijing. Zabel brings a background in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering, and has contributed to technologies such as CarPlay and Android Auto. His current role at AWS focuses on immersive and emerging technology.
Hougland, who leads global design efforts at Ripley Entertainment, brings more than three decades of experience in theme parks and attractions. He also serves as chair of the IAAPA Global Professional Development and Certification Committee.
