Absen’s LED display technology is playing a central role in “BOOP! The Musical,” now running at Broadway’s Broadhurst Theatre. The production, which earned three Tony Award nominations, uses 636 AbsenLive PL2.5 Pro LED panels to deliver immersive visuals throughout the show.
Designed for visually ambitious productions, AbsenLive’s PL2.5 Pro panels provide crisp images and vibrant colors. The panels are integrated into an innovative scenic design, which includes three dynamic layers of LED screens. These layers feature two screens downstage, one midstage, and a fourth upstage screen that flies in during major musical numbers to transform the space.

The LED walls help drive key moments of the production, such as the animated opening “Betty Saves the Day” and iconic scenes like “A Little Versatility” and “Ordinary Day.” The panels move and track during the show, enhancing the scenic environment and turning it into an active storytelling element. The LED screens support immersive portals, animated backdrops, and dazzling choreography, highlighting Betty’s journey through identity and imagination.
The production also features ten Brompton Technology Tessera SX40 LED processors and twenty Tessera XD distribution units, which provide advanced processing power and seamless signal management for a flawless visual experience.
BOOP! The Musical has earned Tony nominations in the following categories:
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical – Jasmine Amy Rogers

- Best Choreography – Jerry Mitchell
