DisplayNote Technologies has released Launcher v2, the latest version of its meeting room software built to streamline collaboration and simplify management for IT and AV professionals.
Trusted by IT and loved by users, Launcher v2 introduces a modernized interface, centralized management, customizable layouts, and built-in lite digital signage—making it easier than ever to manage and secure shared meeting PCs.
“For years, Launcher quietly did its job it opened up meeting rooms, kept them secure, and helped people start meetings fast,” said Luke McSorley, head of product at DisplayNote. “As workplaces evolved, people started asking for more. That told us everything: it wasn’t time to retire Launcher, it was time to rethink it.”
Launcher v2 adds a Central Management Portal that lets IT teams configure and oversee multiple rooms remotely, offering clarity and control without being on-site. The redesigned interface delivers a cleaner, calmer experience that helps users start meetings faster and allows IT to create consistency across spaces. A customizable home screen enables users to tailor layouts, shortcuts, and apps to make every meeting room feel intentional. Screen Saver Messaging allows idle screens to share guidance, updates, or branding that can integrate with existing digital signage systems.
The new version continues to support multiple video conferencing platforms, including Teams, Zoom, Meet, and Webex. It remains secure by design with Kiosk Mode and Automatic Cleanup to ensure every session is locked down. Calendar integration keeps meetings running smoothly with one-tap launches.
Launcher v2 helps IT teams manage shared meeting PCs more efficiently, reducing support tickets and enabling remote oversight. For AV integrators and resellers, it offers faster deployments, streamlined management, and a scalable solution for standardizing customer environments.
“We’re giving partners the opportunity to upsell and cross sell the solutions needed for any room,” said Ryan McElvaney, head of channel and partner alliances at DisplayNote. “Clients can use all in one systems, or complex integrated AV, and still provided a consistent user experience.’’
Launcher v2 is available now as a free upgrade for existing Launcher customers.
