Shade Innovations has expanded its KAOS outdoor shading line with the addition of KAOS Outdoor Projection Screens, a system that combines a motorized outdoor shade with a high-performance projection screen fabric integrated directly into the tracks. The company says the design offers performance with minimal wind movement and picture distortion while producing a high-performance projected image, all within the same rugged KAOS structure.
According to Shade Innovations, KAOS Outdoor Projection Screens are built to perform in outdoor environments and offer ten times the wind resistance of conventional screens. The system is engineered with multiple structural reinforcements for strength and durability and can withstand winds up to 110 miles per hour. Its retractable design allows the screen to disappear when not in use, maintaining open sightlines and a clean aesthetic.

The projection screen is available in widths up to 24 feet and uses outdoor-rated acoustically transparent fabric. Shade Innovations says the design provides benefits such as daytime privacy, bug prevention, and thermal protection while allowing audio from speakers to pass through for front-projection setups.
The company describes the KAOS Projection Screen as the first architectural, design-oriented outdoor screen and projection solution. It can be used to create outdoor theaters, comfortable living spaces, or expanded patron areas for restaurants and bars.
Customers can choose a box or pocket cassette enclosure, available in multiple colors to fit various environments or décor. The KAOS system is fully compatible with the Shade Innovations ecosystem for outdoor living and entertainment applications.
