Canon Expands PTZ Lineup With New 4K Cameras for Professional Video Applications

Canon U.S.A. has introduced two new 4K Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras, the CR-N400 and CR-N350, expanding its professional PTZ lineup with models designed to deliver image quality, versatile connectivity, and advanced control for professional video applications.

The cameras are intended for studio productions, live events, houses of worship, corporate settings, and educational environments, offering a combination of features aimed at improving production flexibility.

Positioned between Canon’s CR-N300 and CR-N500 models, the CR-N400 and CR-N350 provide smooth pan-tilt performance and high-quality imaging. Both cameras feature 4K 60p capture, a 20x optical zoom extendable to 40x in Full HD, and Canon’s DIGIC DV7 image processor for color accuracy and image clarity. A 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor supports detailed video output, and a vertical crop function allows simultaneous 9:16 video output for social and vertical content.

The CR-N400 is designed for professional broadcasters who require a 4K SDI-based workflow, featuring 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI connectivity, Genlock, and Timecode support for multi-camera synchronization. The CR-N350 provides a cost-effective option for users who need 4K over HDMI or IP, or Full HD through 3G-SDI.

Both cameras support IP protocols including NDI and SRT for direct IP streaming and remote production workflows.

The CR-N400 and CR-N350 are expected to be available in late December 2025 at estimated retail prices of $5,699 and $3,999.
