Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin has deployed Extron TLS room scheduling panels at its new Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship Center (AMETA), using the system to help students, faculty and visitors navigate classrooms and meeting spaces across the facility.
The AMETA Center is the college’s newest training hub, supporting programs in precision machining, robotic machine tending, automated manufacturing and process control. Across its four campuses and the AMETA Center, Mid-State manages more than 120 instructional and meeting spaces through the 25Live academic and event scheduling platform.
TLS scheduling panels are installed outside rooms to display real-time availability and event information pulled directly from 25Live over the campus network. The goal is to simplify wayfinding for students and staff moving between classes, labs and campus events.

“The main factors that led us to select the Extron TLS touchpanel room scheduling solution were compatibility with 25Live, features and functionality that met our needs, and price,” says Bradley Russell, Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer at Mid-State Technical College. “Extron’s Room Agent and Toolbelt software make it easy to go in on our own and make configuration changes whenever needed.”
Mid-State configured the TLS panels using Extron Room Agent software, which supports multiple calendar systems, including 25Live. Working with Mid-State’s technical staff, Extron developed enhancements to Room Agent that improved how 25Live data could be formatted for display. Those improvements, initially created for Mid-State, are now standard Room Agent features available to all institutions using 25Live.
The installation is aimed at improving room coordination across the AMETA Center and helping users quickly identify the correct spaces for scheduled classes, training sessions and meetings.
