Williams AV has expanded its TeachLogic classroom audio lineup with the launch of the Ovation 1880 DECT amplifier, a model developed for global regions that use the 1.88–1.90 GHz DECT frequency band. The company says the new unit extends its reach into education markets across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and select parts of Asia and Africa.
Built on the same platform as the North American Ovation DECT amplifier, the Ovation 1880 offers identical performance and classroom-focused features in a configuration tuned for international DECT standards. The system is designed to support voice clarity, hybrid learning, and consistent audio coverage in classroom environments.
“As demand for modern classroom audio continues to grow worldwide, the Ovation 1880 marks an important milestone in our international expansion,” said Per Persson, VP of International Sales & Product Management at Williams AV. “By engineering it for international DECT operation, we’re expanding Williams AV’s footprint worldwide and empowering educators with tools that ensure every student can hear, understand, and engage in classroom learning.”
The Ovation 1880 combines a wireless microphone receiver, audio mixer, and 50-watt amplifier into a single unit intended to simplify installation. Key features include two wireless DECT microphone channels, four line-level inputs for devices such as computers and media players, and a dedicated Assistive Listening System output. The system also offers connections for paging, fire alarms, and security alerts.
For hybrid learning environments, the amplifier includes Video Conference Sync with EchoGuard, which is designed to reduce audio feedback issues for remote participants.
The Ovation 1880 is available through Williams AV’s international distribution partners. More information is available on the company’s website.
