Sennheiser has released a firmware update that adds new features and performance improvements to its TeamConnect Bar Solutions for small and mid-sized meeting rooms. Firmware version 1.3.8 is available as a free download and includes camera enhancements, additional audio output options, improved network reliability and updated security features.
The TeamConnect Bar lineup includes the TC Bar S and TC Bar M, both designed as all-in-one collaboration devices. The TC Bar S features four microphones and two speakers, while the TC Bar M includes six microphones and four speakers. Both models are certified for Microsoft Teams and are designed for flexible integration with a range of room systems.
With the latest update, Sennheiser said the 4K AI-enhanced camera now delivers smoother and more natural framing by reducing frame movement during features such as auto-framing and person tiling. A new default camera mode is intended to provide more consistent behavior during meetings, while still allowing users to make temporary adjustments using a remote control.
The firmware also expands audio output options. In addition to the built-in stereo speakers, users can now connect external speakers via Dante for installations that require additional audio coverage. The update also allows external speakers to be used for continuous audio streaming to Sennheiser’s MobileConnect system.
Sennheiser said the update improves meeting readiness by reducing standby wake-up times. This is achieved through optimization of the default energy mode and the addition of an optional “Always On” setting. Network reliability has also been enhanced, particularly for more complex installations such as split-mode setups.
The update also ensures that the TC Bars are compliant with current security and regulatory standards.
The firmware update can be downloaded through Sennheiser Control Cockpit or from the downloads section of the TC Bar S and TC Bar M product pages on the Sennheiser website.
