Tim Albright, Gary Kayye and I launched the Technology in Practice Tour at ISE 2025 to help technical end users and in-house integrators cut through the noise and spend meaningful, face-to-face time with the manufacturers building technology that actually impacts their day-to-day work.
As industry journalists, we see the same challenge every year: the show floor is massive, the busiest booths are hard to access, and discovering emerging solutions often takes a back seat to chasing the biggest names. It’s overwhelming — even for people who do this for a living.
So we built a better way.
During the Technology in Practice Tour, we guide participants through 10 carefully selected booths, giving each manufacturer dedicated time to present directly to the group. No fighting crowds. No rushed demos. Just focused conversations about real-world technology, all in the span of a few hours. And yes — we include a free lunch, because we’re not monsters.
The tour intentionally balances three types of companies:
- Industry anchors
- Infrastructure and systems specialists
- Emerging innovators and problem solvers
You can expect to see everything from large-scale display technology and enterprise collaboration tools to AV-over-IP backbones and smart software platforms. Our goal is simple: when the tour ends, you should feel confident taking what you’ve learned and putting it to work in your organization.
