Bogen Adds New Nyquist Peripherals to Expand Paging, Messaging and Audio Control

Bogen Communications has announced the addition of several new peripherals to its Nyquist platform, expanding system control, visual messaging and audio coverage for large-scale paging and communication environments.

The new Nyquist peripherals include a zone paging microphone station, a VoIP double-sided LED message display and flasher, a digital remote volume-control call switch and an indoor/outdoor IP horn with talkback. Bogen said each device integrates directly into the Nyquist ecosystem and is designed to support higher zone counts, distributed control points and reliable operation in demanding settings.

“The new Nyquist peripherals extend system functionality beyond traditional paging endpoints,” said Randall Lee, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Bogen Communications LLC. “Each device expands system control, visual messaging, user interaction and audio coverage for education, transportation and large commercial environments, addressing real-world needs for scalable control, visible messaging and dependable audio.”

The Nyquist Zone Paging Microphone Station (NQ-ZPMS-G2) is designed for high-zone paging applications such as schools, transportation hubs and large facilities. It features a 10-inch color touchscreen and 116 programmable one-touch DSS keys, providing access to paging zones, announcements, audio distributions, routines, tones and bell schedules. The station includes a flexible gooseneck microphone and supports HD audio using the G.722 wideband codec. Built on Android 9.0, the device is intended to support stable operation and long-term system compatibility.

The Nyquist VoIP Double-Sided LED Message Display and Flasher (NQ-DSC01) is an indoor wall- or ceiling-mounted device for visual and audio communication in educational and commercial environments. It features a dual-sided, multi-color LED display, integrated flasher and dual loudspeakers. The display supports Nyquist-generated text messages in single- or dual-line formats, static or scrolling modes and customizable character-level colors. When paired with optional call switch accessories, the device can initiate SIP calls with other Nyquist endpoints or compatible third-party SIP devices.

The Nyquist Digital Remote Volume-Control Call Switch (NQ-VCTRL) provides localized audio control within Nyquist systems. Designed for single-gang wall mounting, the device allows users to adjust volume, mute audio, place calls or trigger emergency notifications using a multifunction push-button knob. It includes an integrated LED display with a nine-LED clock-style layout and a full-spectrum status ring to provide visual feedback for volume levels, call status and system responses.

The Nyquist VoIP Indoor/Outdoor IP Horn with Talkback (NQ-IPHRN01) is a commercial-grade device designed for indoor and outdoor use. It features HD audio, integrated amplification and talkback capability, and connects via Cat5 to a PoE or PoE+ network. The device is configured and controlled through the Nyquist web interface, and its IP66-rated enclosure is designed to protect against water and dust in harsh environments.
