Panasonic to Debut VMQ85 Projector Series at ISE 2026 With Immersive Golf Simulator

Panasonic Projector and Display Corporation will introduce its VMQ85 Series of 4K LCD projectors to European audiences at ISE 2026, highlighting the new line through an interactive golf simulator experience at its booth.

The VMQ85 Series will be shown at Panasonic’s stand (3J500), where visitors can test the projector’s performance in a simulated golf environment designed to demonstrate its capabilities in immersive and simulation-led applications.

Developed for simulation environments, the VMQ85 Series includes Panasonic’s first 4K LCD projector. The square-pixel architecture is designed to produce detailed, close-range imagery with reduced pixel structure, supporting realistic visuals required for applications such as sports simulation and interactive experiences.

The VMQ85 weighs under 8 kilograms and is designed for installation in compact or space-constrained environments, including simulator bays and dedicated experience rooms. The series includes three models delivering brightness levels up to 8,000 lumens and incorporates Panasonic’s two-axis pixel-shifting technology.

For fixed-lens installations, the projector offers a 1.09–1.77:1 throw ratio, supported by a 1.6x optical zoom and lens shift of +44 percent vertically and ±20 percent horizontally, allowing flexible placement across a range of room sizes and layouts.

The VMQ85 also includes a dedicated Vivid Green Mode designed for golf simulation environments. The mode enhances green tones and turf textures to support realistic course visuals and ball tracking, including on curved or angled projection surfaces.

“ISE is the perfect occasion for introducing the VMQ85 Series to Europe,” said Hartmut Kulessa, head of marketing for visual system solutions at Panasonic Connect Europe. “Demand for immersive simulation experiences continues to grow, and the VMQ85 was developed to make these environments easier to create without compromising on visual quality or installation flexibility.”

Panasonic said the VMQ85 Series also incorporates sustainability features, with approximately half of the projector’s plastic body made from recycled resin and recyclable cardboard used for packaging cushions. An Image Detection function can automatically reduce light output when projected content remains unchanged for a defined period to help reduce power consumption.

The projector includes a range of installation and adjustment tools, including an on-screen Angle Monitor designed to assist with tilt visualization during setup.

Adachi, CEO of Panasonic Projector and Display Corporation, said the company plans to continue expanding projector applications, including the sports simulation market, while strengthening its position in the large-screen display industry.

The VMQ85 Series and golf simulator will be demonstrated at Panasonic’s stand throughout ISE 2026, alongside the company’s solutions for conferencing and collaboration, education, large-scale displays and digital signage.
