Sharp Display Solutions America has announced the upcoming launch of its EC Series direct-view LED displays expanding the company’s E Series lineup with Chip-on-Board construction designed to improve durability and image quality.
The EC Series is positioned as a cost-conscious dvLED option for retail, education, corporate and public environments. Sharp said the new cabinet design can reduce installation time by as much as 50 percent compared to previous models. The displays also use COB technology to lower power consumption by up to 60 percent compared to standard surface-mounted device designs while maintaining brightness.
“We are proud to introduce the EC Series, designed to deliver exceptional quality, performance, and durability in the dvLED segment,” said Mark Miller, Product Manager, dvLED, Sharp Display Solutions. “This series reduces complexity for integrators, by providing a substantially reduced installation time, and demonstrates our commitment to empowering users with future-ready display solutions that create powerful visual experiences.”
The EC Series will be available in pixel pitch options of 0.9 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.8 mm. According to Sharp the displays offer contrast ratios of up to 10,000:1 to support detailed and vivid content presentation.
Sharp plans to debut the EC Series at Integrated Systems Europe 2026 in Barcelona from Feb. 3–6. Shipping is expected to begin in April 2026.
