Crestron Electronics has introduced the DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform and the 1 Beyond i12D intelligent camera, two new solutions designed to simplify deployment of AI-ready audio and video systems in huddle, medium and large meeting rooms.
The announcements focus on reducing complexity for IT teams and integrators while delivering consistent, high-performance collaboration experiences across enterprise environments.
The DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform is a network-based ecosystem built around the DM NAX AP-100 audio processor. The system supports Crestron microphones, speaker pods and PoE speakers, and leverages DM NVX technology for audio-over-IP distribution. AES67 compatibility enables integration with third-party microphones, including Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling solutions.
Devices auto-discover on the network and are powered via PoE, reducing cabling and configuration time. Crestron said every DM NAX configuration is pre-validated to ensure consistent performance across room types, from small huddle spaces to larger boardrooms.
Advanced DSP features, including acoustic echo cancellation, automatic gain control, noise reduction and auto-mixing, are built into the platform. Direction-of-arrival audio allows the system to identify who is speaking, supporting intelligent video integration and AI-driven collaboration tools. Crestron said the system is tuned to support Microsoft Copilot software and transcription services to improve voice capture accuracy.
“Hybrid meetings have made it painfully clear that audio and video can’t be an afterthought,” said Joel Mulpeter, senior director of product marketing at Crestron. “With DM NAX Intelligent Audio and the 1 Beyond i12D, we’re giving organizations a simple, scalable way to deploy crystal-clear audio and engaging, intelligent video in the rooms people use every day so AI assistants hear every word, remote participants stay engaged, and IT teams aren’t buried in complexity.”
The 1 Beyond i12D intelligent camera is designed for meeting rooms that require professional speaker tracking without the infrastructure of a fully customized multi-camera system. The device combines three 4K cameras in a single unit, including dual 4K PTZ lenses with 12x optical zoom and a 4K wide-angle lens for full-room framing and AI analysis.
Onboard Visual AI enables automatic group framing, speaker tracking and composition modes such as picture-in-picture and Conversation Mode. The camera can also coordinate views with up to four companion 1 Beyond cameras without requiring Automate VX.
Built-in microphone arrays are used for speaker location detection, while organizations can pair the camera with their preferred room audio system. Connectivity includes USB-C and HDMI outputs, RTSP streaming and certifications for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms environments.
Crestron said the DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform and the 1 Beyond i12D camera are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2026 through authorized dealers and distribution partners.
