AVer Information Inc. has released Firmware Version 60, adding new AI tracking and framing capabilities to select AVer PTZ camera models.
The update introduces features including Face Enrollment, Shield Zone, expanded Effective Tracking controls, enhancements to ZONE Mode and People Framing. AVer said the additions are designed to improve tracking accuracy, framing flexibility and image quality in hybrid and professional video environments.
“As hybrid communication continues to evolve, users need camera technology that adapts seamlessly to dynamic environments,” said Katie Sullivan, Senior Product Manager for AVer Information Inc. USA. “This firmware update emphasizes AVer’s commitment to delivering smarter automation, greater control, and improved visual performance for our customers.”
Face Enrollment allows up to 20 presenter profiles per camera, with assignable priority levels. The feature is intended to improve recognition speed and maintain consistent focus during lectures, presentations and panel discussions, even as participants move.
The update also adds Shield Zone, which lets users designate specific areas the camera will ignore during calls. This helps prevent unintended tracking caused by background movement, audience activity, display screens or high-traffic areas.
Tracking performance has been expanded through an Effective Tracking Area upgrade, increasing from four to five adjustable corners for broader coverage and more stable subject capture. ZONE Mode has also been updated to remove direction limitations, providing more flexibility when defining tracking behavior based on room configuration.
People Framing automatically centers participants within the camera frame for a balanced image. When combined with presenter tracking modes, the feature is designed to support both Pro AV production and video conferencing workflows.
The firmware also includes Live Image Color Improvement with red color correction, aimed at producing more natural-looking skin tones during live video output.
Firmware Version 60 is available now for supported AVer PTZ camera models. More information is available at averusa.com
