LEWITT has partnered with Elgato to launch Wave Next, a new generation of creator-focused audio tools designed to combine professional audio technology with streaming and content creation workflows.
The companies said Wave Next expands the Wave ecosystem, which is designed to help creators achieve studio-quality sound for streaming, podcasting and other content production applications.
“With Wave Next, we are aiming to combine the best of both worlds, the pro-audio and the creator audio world, for seamless audio workflows.” according to Roman Perschon, CEO of LEWITT.
As part of the collaboration, LEWITT developed the Wave FX processor, a custom chip designed to optimize the signal path and allow users to shape their sound directly on the device. The processor includes a DSP-based effects suite with tools such as Low-Cut, Expander, Voice Tune, Compressor and EQ.
The companies said the design also incorporates intelligent limiting technology intended to prevent audio clipping at the input stage.
When paired with Elgato Wave hardware, the system allows users to insert VST plugins through the redesigned Wave Link software. This creates a low-latency signal path between the hardware and effects chain, enabling a single microphone output with a fully processed signal that can be routed to applications including streaming software.
The Wave FX processor is included in several new Elgato products, including Wave:3 MK.2, Wave XLR MK.2, XLR Dock MK.2 and Wave XLR Pro.
The products are available starting today through Elgato’s website and authorized retailers within CORSAIR’s global distribution network.
