Boom Collaboration has launched the ARC, a conferencing bridge designed to simplify switching between in-room systems and bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) devices.
The ARC allows users to move between a dedicated room system, such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms or Google Meet, and a personal laptop using a single USB-C connection. Boom said the device eliminates the need for re-cabling and is designed to support more flexible meeting workflows.
The company said the solution addresses a growing shift toward BYOM use, where employees prefer to run meetings from their own devices while still using in-room AV equipment.
“Our focus has always been on simplifying collaboration across any device, platform, or room,” said Fredrik Hörnkvist, Co-Founder of Boom Collaboration. “Organizations can keep their existing systems, while users get the flexibility they expect.”
The ARC automatically switches between a room system and a connected laptop, with cameras, speakerphones and displays following the active host.
The device is designed to work across multiple platforms, including Teams, Zoom, Webex and Google Meet, and can be integrated into existing AV and IT environments.
Boom said the ARC also supports centralized control and integration, allowing IT and AV teams to manage deployments across multiple rooms without requiring on-site changes.
“There has been strong interest in the ARC because it solves a real-world problem in a simple way,” said Holli Hulett, Co-Founder of Boom Collaboration.
The ARC is now available globally.
