Peavey Electronics has introduced the Impulse Pendant Speaker Series, a new line of commercial loudspeakers designed for high-ceiling environments.
The series includes three models — the Impulse P8, P6.5 and P4 — designed for applications including retail spaces, hospitality venues and other commercial interiors where audio coverage and aesthetics are both important considerations.
Peavey said the pendant-mounted design allows the speakers to hang closer to listening areas compared to traditional wall-mounted or in-ceiling systems. The company said this approach is intended to improve coverage and speech intelligibility while reducing the need for wall or ceiling modifications.
The speakers support 70V and 100V distributed audio systems and include transformer tap options along with low-impedance operation.
The largest model, the Impulse P8, features an 8-inch woofer and is designed for larger commercial environments requiring higher output and extended low-frequency performance.
The mid-sized Impulse P6.5 is intended to balance output and compact design for medium-sized spaces, while the smaller Impulse P4 is designed for installations where a lower-profile speaker is preferred.
Across the series, Peavey said the speakers include features such as flame-retardant enclosures, Euroblock connectors and dual suspension points for overhead installation.
The Impulse Pendant Speaker Series is available in black or white finishes.
