Radboud University has partnered with Extron and Dutch AV integrator Fidato B.V. to modernize instructional spaces on its Heyendaal campus.
The university selected Extron’s NAV Pro AV over IP system to support more flexible and scalable classroom environments. The project upgraded three classrooms with AV distribution, switching and control technologies designed to improve usability for instructors and students.
“Extron’s NAV System gave us the flexibility and reliability we needed for Radboud University’s present and future classroom requirements,” said Erik te Vaanhold, AV Project Manager at Fidato B.V.
The updated classrooms now support multiple collaborative clusters, instructor control through Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels and centralized management through the NAVigator System Manager.
The system is intended to simplify daily classroom operation while creating a foundation for expanding networked AV infrastructure across additional learning spaces.
Following positive feedback from faculty and staff, Radboud University has committed to a second phase that will bring the same design to five more classrooms.
