Praevar Expands Vanguard Outdoor Display Series

Praevar has expanded its Vanguard Series outdoor display platform with new deployment configurations and implementation options designed for North American digital signage environments.

The Vanguard Series is available in 55″, 65″ and 75-inch models and supports both portrait and landscape orientations. The displays can be deployed in wall-mounted and freestanding configurations across retail media networks, transit facilities, campuses, commercial real estate properties and event venues.

According to Praevar, the platform supports Windows, Android and Linux operating systems for compatibility with a variety of content management systems, media players and network infrastructures.

The displays provide 2,500 nits of brightness for visibility in direct sunlight and are designed for continuous 24/7 operation. The company said the series includes IK10-rated glass, weather-sealed construction and support for both embedded and external media player configurations.

A front-service swing-frame design allows technicians to access internal components without removing the display from its mounting structure. Praevar said the displays also use a filter-less cooling system intended to reduce maintenance requirements.

“Customers want outdoor digital signage that is reliable, easy to deploy, easy to service, and cost-effective to operate,” said Ralph Idems. “Vanguard was designed as a true mount, power, and go platform backed directly by Praevar.”

The company said connectivity options include cellular, Wi-Fi and fiber networking to support a range of deployment environments.

Praevar recently completed large-format Vanguard installations in retail environments and said it provides turnkey deployment services that can include displays, media players, mounting structures, connectivity, installation and deployment support.

The Vanguard Series is rated for 50,000 hours of operation, according to the company.
