Planar has introduced the Planar 21by9 Series, a new line of ultra-wide 5K LCD displays designed for commercial and enterprise environments.
The series includes 81-inch, 94-inch and 105-inch models with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 5120×2160 resolution. Planar said the format is designed to support panoramic viewing, video collaboration and immersive visual experiences.
The displays are built for 24/7 commercial use and support a 120Hz refresh rate. Planar said the series uses quantum dot Mini-LED backlighting, local dimming and HDR processing to support high brightness, contrast and color performance.
“The Planar 21by 9 Series represents the pinnacle of commercial LCD visual quality,” said Sidney Rittenberg, CEO of Planar. “Designed for customers seeking premium visual performance, the series delivers stunning image realism that transforms how content can captivate enterprise users.”
The series is available in touch and non-touch versions. The displays support picture-in-picture layouts and are designed for use with unified communications and video collaboration platforms.
Planar said the line is suited for applications including enterprise collaboration, lobbies, retail environments and private cinema.
The Planar 21by9 Series is TAA compliant, ENERGY STAR certified and designed to meet ETSI EN 303 645 cybersecurity standards. The displays are also ADA compliant when installed with a depth of less than 4 inches from the wall to the front of the display.
The new displays are expected to begin shipping in the third quarter through Planar’s authorized reseller network and will be shown at InfoComm 2026.
