Epson is expanding its commercial display portfolio with the launch of its first all-in-one direct-view LED (dvLED) display family, the LE-C1 Series, marking the company’s entry into one of the fastest-growing segments of the professional AV market.
The new displays will be showcased at InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas, where Epson plans to position the LE-C1 Series as a simplified alternative for organizations seeking large-format visual experiences without the complexity often associated with traditional LED installations.
As demand for immersive digital experiences continues to grow across corporate, education, retail and public venues, direct-view LED technology has become increasingly popular for its ability to deliver high-brightness images in environments with significant ambient light. Epson’s move into the category reflects a broader industry trend toward integrated display ecosystems that allow organizations to source multiple visual technologies from a single vendor.
“Expanding our commercial display portfolio with dvLED allows us to support visual display needs for virtually any indoor application,” said Ramzi Shakra, senior product manager at Epson America. “Customers have already expressed excitement about our entry into this category, underscoring their confidence in our deep industry expertise and a trusted service experience.”
The LE-C1 Series includes three models: the 135-inch LE-C1135 and 162-inch LE-C1162 Full HD displays, along with the 135-inch LE-C14K135, which offers 4K resolution for applications requiring greater image detail and closer viewing distances.
Unlike many LED display solutions that rely on separate operating systems or external processing platforms, Epson designed the LE-C1 Series as an operating system-free solution intended to reduce maintenance requirements and potential cybersecurity concerns. The displays feature a low-profile control system concealed behind the screen, while maintaining access to connectivity and service functions when needed.
A key differentiator is the use of chip-on-board (COB) LED technology. Epson says the design improves image quality and durability while reducing power consumption compared with conventional surface-mounted device (SMD) LED displays. The encapsulated LED structure also provides added protection against accidental impact and environmental wear, making the displays suitable for high-traffic commercial environments.
The company is emphasizing ease of deployment as another advantage. Factory-calibrated LED modules, preassembled cabinet columns and a preconfigured controller are designed to reduce installation time and simplify setup for integrators and end users.
The displays deliver brightness levels of up to 600 nits and support HDR content, enabling high-contrast imagery in environments ranging from corporate boardrooms and higher education facilities to retail showrooms and public venues.
Connectivity options include dual HDMI inputs, LAN control, optical audio output, 3.5 mm audio connections and Bluetooth remote control support.
For schools and educational institutions, Epson said the displays will be available through its Brighter Futures program, which provides special pricing, dedicated education account support and technical assistance.
The LE-C1135, LE-C1162 and LE-C14K135 are scheduled to become available in the United States during summer 2026 through authorized resellers. Availability in Brazil and Mexico is expected in fall 2026, with broader Latin American distribution planned for early 2027.
The LE-C1 Series will be demonstrated at Epson’s booth, N7245, during InfoComm 2026, which takes place June 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
