Dell has introduced two new professional webcams designed for hybrid workers, adding AI-enhanced imaging, Windows Hello authentication and collaboration features to its Pro portfolio.
The new Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K (WB726) and Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K (WB526) are aimed at organizations looking to standardize video conferencing equipment while giving employees better image quality and more secure sign-in capabilities.
Rather than focusing solely on higher video resolution, Dell says the new webcams use AI imaging to optimize video in real time. Both models automatically adjust exposure, white balance and scene settings while supporting AI-powered auto framing that keeps users centered during meetings.
The Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K offers 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and uses a Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor. It also includes two MEMS AI and view-focused beamforming microphones, according to Dell. It also includes presence sensing with Windows Hello, allowing users to automatically sign in when they approach their computer and lock it when they leave.
The Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K brings many of the same collaboration features to a lower price point. It includes 2K video, Windows Hello facial recognition and a Kensington-compatible security interface for shared workspaces.
Both webcams include Dell’s Intelligent Collaboration Tools, including Document View for sharing physical documents during meetings and Gesture Control for hands-free operation. The cameras are certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom and support additional conferencing platforms including Google Meet, Cisco Webex and Amazon Chime.
Dell says the new models complement its existing Pro 3 Webcam 2K, giving organizations multiple options for standardizing webcams across different employee roles and budgets. Both new webcams include Dell Display and Peripheral Manager software.
The Dell Pro 7 Webcam 4K is available globally for $199.99, while the Dell Pro 5 Webcam 2K is priced at $119.99.
