SMART Technologies has introduced two new classroom accessories designed to extend the capabilities of SMART Boards by supporting collaboration, accessibility and classroom engagement.
The company announced MultiStylus and SoundLift ahead of ISTE 2026, where both products will be demonstrated as part of its SMART Board ecosystem.
According to SMART, the accessories were developed to address common classroom challenges, including keeping instruction moving throughout the room and ensuring students can clearly hear lessons.
“Educators consistently tell us that technology works best when it feels effortless”said Kyle Shain, Director of Product Management, SMART Technologies. MultiStylus and SoundLift were designed with that feedback in mind, helping create more opportunities for participation, collaboration and access to instruction.”
MultiStylus is designed to give teachers control of a SMART Board while moving around the classroom. Compatible with SMART Board iQ 4 displays, it allows teachers to switch pen modes, advance presentation slides and use an air mouse without returning to the display. The battery-free stylus also supports simultaneous multi-user interaction and works with SMART’s Tool Explorer features.
SoundLift is a classroom audio solution that routes a teacher’s voice through the SMART Board’s built-in speakers without requiring separate amplifiers, mixers or additional cabling. The system includes two lapel microphones and is designed to allow teachers to move freely throughout the classroom while remaining audible to students. SMART said SoundLift also supports accessibility by helping improve the accuracy of AI transcription and translation tools.
Both products will be demonstrated at SMART Technologies’ booth during ISTE 2026 in Orlando.
