HETMA Announces 2026-2027 PRISM Scholarship Recipients

HETMA has announced the recipients of its 2026-2027 PRISM Scholarship, marking the fifth year of the program, which supports underrepresented audiovisual professionals working in higher education. Through a partnership with the AVIXA Foundation, scholarship recipients receive an AVIXA Elite Membership, a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) exam voucher, HETMA mentorship, CTS training sessions and complimentary passes to InfoComm 2027.

The 2026-2027 PRISM Scholarship recipients are Teiko Johnson, Brittany Mullins, Edin Newton, Nesrien Mohamed Naguib Mohamed, Sabastian Kwantreng, Dekevyon Curtis, Noel Cerda, Brittney Grant and Jaylen Williams. HETMA said recipient profiles will be featured monthly in the PRISM Spotlight series published by Higher Ed AV Media.

The PRISM Scholarship is designed to encourage underrepresented higher education AV professionals to pursue leadership opportunities and professional development within the industry. In addition to certification training and mentorship, the program provides access to AVIXA educational resources and covers CTS exam fees. Applications for the scholarship open each December.
