Quam Launches Network Audio Endpoints for Paging, Emergency Alerts and Two-Way Communication

Quam Nichols introduced QIP, a new family of PoE and PoE+ network audio endpoints designed for voice paging, emergency notifications, tones, background music and two-way communication.

The QIP line works with SIP/Multicast and Singlewire InformaCast platforms and can integrate with VoIP/SIP phone systems. The endpoints feature digital audio and integrated microphones for two-way communication, allowing them to support both announcements and conversations across networked communication environments.

QIP endpoints are powered using standard PoE or PoE+, allowing audio and power to be delivered over the network. The line is available in several configurations for indoor spaces, including 1-by-2-foot and 2-by-2-foot ceiling tile models, a two-way 2-by-2-foot model, a cut-in ceiling endpoint and a wall-mounted endpoint.

For organizations managing QIP systems, Quam also offers the Quam Endpoint Manager along with dedicated technical support. The company said additional QIP endpoints are planned as it continues to expand its network audio portfolio.

“QIP brings Quam quality into the digital age, delivering networked endpoints with the performance and durability of Quam’s traditional loudspeakers,” said Randy Moore, CEO of Quam Nichols.
