AVIXA has introduced a new online training course, “Broadcast AV: Glass-to-Glass,” designed to help AV and broadcast professionals understand how the two disciplines work together. The course focuses on the complete media workflow, from content capture through delivery to the viewer.
As broadcast and pro AV technologies increasingly overlap in corporate studios, live events and higher education environments, AVIXA developed the course to help professionals understand the technologies, processes and roles involved in integrated media systems.
“Broadcast AV: Glass-to-Glass” examines the key stages of production, from acquisition to distribution, using practical examples to demonstrate how decisions throughout the workflow affect the viewing experience. The course is intended to help professionals plan, operate and support systems that combine broadcast and pro AV technologies while improving communication between teams.
“The convergence of broadcast and pro AV is reshaping our industry, and this course provides professionals with an understanding of how broadcast operates in today’s AV environment,” said Pam Taggart, vice president of content creation at AVIXA.
AVIXA developed the course with support from Diversified and EVS, bringing together expertise from across the broadcast and AV industries. The training is designed for experienced professionals in either field, as well as those entering environments where broadcast and AV workflows intersect.
A free preview of the opening portion is available, along with access to the full course, through AVIXA’s training website.
