BenQ has expanded its short throw and ultra short throw projector lineup with four new models designed for simulation, immersive environments and non-traditional projection applications.
The new models — LU895UST, LH860ST, LK830ST and LW830ST — are engineered for environments such as golf and sports simulators, projection mapping installations, immersive rooms and training spaces. BenQ said the projectors are purpose-built for flexible aspect ratios, color accuracy and simplified installation.
The LU895UST is an ultra short throw laser projector designed for commercial immersive environments, including projection mapping, museums and themed attractions. The unit features a compact design and is built for 24/7 operation. It will be available in March for $3,499.
The LH860ST is a high-brightness short throw projector with a 0.5 throw ratio and lower optical offset, intended for golf simulators and sports training environments where close-range projection and ambient light are common challenges. It is available now for $2,399.
The LK830ST adds 4K support to BenQ’s simulation lineup. The short throw projector, also featuring a 0.5 throw ratio, includes updated firmware and is designed for high-resolution simulation applications. It is available now for $2,499.
The LW830ST is positioned as a value-focused short throw model for interactive playgrounds, edutainment and sensory rooms. It supports multi-projector blending and is available for $1,599.
All four models incorporate BenQ’s Screen Fill technology, which allows installers to select from standard and custom aspect ratios — including 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and ultra-wide formats — directly from the projector menu. The feature is designed to automatically adjust output settings to fit non-standard screens commonly used in immersive and simulation deployments.
BenQ said Screen Fill reduces the need for external scaling tools and manual recalibration, helping minimize installation time and alignment errors.
“The projector industry is changing, and simply repurposing conference room products isn’t enough anymore,” said Bob Wudeck, Senior Director at BenQ. “With BenQ Screen Fill technology and industry-leading color accuracy, we’re giving immersive and simulation designers tools built specifically for how projection is actually being used today – accurately, flexibly, and at scale.”
The LU895UST will also be demonstrated at the TransWorld Halloween & Attractions Show in March.
