Catchbox Hub Transforms Mic Receiver Into Full Audio Processing Solution

Catchbox has expanded its product lineup with the Catchbox Hub, a new addition to its wireless microphone system designed for modern learning environments. The device transforms from a wireless mic receiver into a full-featured audio processing hub, combining the power of a dedicated DSP, a 12-channel automixer, and multi-platform connectivity in one compact unit.

The new Catchbox Hub is part of the Catchbox Plus system and was created to serve as the central audio point in education spaces, where AV complexity is growing but budgets and technical staffing are often limited.

With support for up to four Catchbox wireless microphones and up to 10 external audio sources over analog, USB, and Dante, the Hub automatically mixes, processes and routes audio for in-room amplification, conferencing, recording and assistive listening. The all-in-one design eliminates the need for an external DSP, simplifying AV setups and reducing hardware costs for AV designers.

The Catchbox Hub is aimed at classrooms, lecture halls and other instructional spaces that require flexible audio solutions with minimal configuration.

Key features include:

  • Separate DSP paths for a smooth in-room and video conferencing audio experience, with smart features like feedback suppression, auto-leveling, echo reduction, and more.
  • Flexible input options, supporting up to 4 Catchbox wireless microphones, 4 analog sources, and 4×4 Dante™ channels for mixing and processing external sources like third-party mic systems.
  • Custom-configurable output mixes for assistive listening, recording, and conferencing.
  • USB integration for seamless connection with software platforms like Zoom, MS Teams, or lecture capture tools.
  • Centralized control and monitoring software for campus-wide AV scalability (coming soon).
