The Tourism Association of Sexten has launched a digital tourism experience using a 118-inch multitouch video wall powered by eyefactive. The installation transforms the traditional visitor center into an interactive destination where guests can explore the region in a playful, intuitive and multilingual way.
Developed in partnership with Hamburg-based touchscreen specialists eyefactive, the experience combines sightseeing with dynamic interaction. From immersive quizzes and interactive timelines to 3D landscape models and video puzzles, the system invites users to dive into Sexten’s culture, history and geography through touch-based exploration.
Tourism Association of Sexten said: “Our goal was to create something that entertains, informs, and inspires. With eyefactive’s technology, we’ve achieved an innovative experience that truly resonates with our visitors.”
Upon approaching the video wall, users are welcomed by a panoramic menu with vibrant seasonal content—featuring photos, videos and text highlighting Sexten’s natural and cultural heritage. A drag-and-drop feature allows guests to explore activities by placing icons—like a skier—onto interactive areas to reveal relevant details. Visitors can swipe through Sexten’s past on an animated timeline, browse regional biographies in the Matrix View, and zoom into a 3D model to navigate local trails.
The installation also includes interactive quizzes with real-time feedback and hybrid puzzles that combine smartphone and touchscreen inputs for gamified engagement. Multilingual support ensures accessibility for a broad audience.
The platform runs on eyefactive’s MultiTouch AppStore, allowing fast customization of layout, content and design for scalable, cost-effective deployment.
The result is a modern, digital interpretation of tourism information that blends tradition and innovation—setting a new benchmark for interactive signage in alpine regions.
