Extron Releases Full DTP3 CrossPoint Series of Configurable 4K/60 Matrix Switchers

Extron has announced the availability of its complete DTP3 CrossPoint Series, a family of configurable presentation matrix switchers that combine HDMI and DTP3 switching, audio DSP with AEC, Dante connectivity, a power amplifier and a control processor in a single enclosure. The systems are designed for large AV installations that require multiple sources, displays, sound reinforcement and centralized control.

The DTP3 CrossPoint switchers are available in four sizes with reversible DTP3 input and output ports, allowing integrators to configure the matrices to match project needs. The lineup includes:

  • DTP3 CrossPoint 884 – configurable from 8×12 to 12×8
  • DTP3 CrossPoint 662 – configurable from 6×8 to 8×6
  • DTP3 CrossPoint 642 – configurable from 6×6 to 8×4
  • DTP3 CrossPoint 622 – configurable from 6×4 to 8×2

All models support up to 4K/60 video at 4:4:4 color sampling with a maximum data rate of 18 Gbps. Extron’s Vector 4K scaling is available on each output, and the systems provide seamless switching, logo keying and DTP3 extension up to 330 feet (100 meters) over shielded CAT 6A cable. The units are available in 2U or 3U chassis sizes.

“Our DTP CrossPoint lineup has always provided market leading performance, functionality, and value,” says Casey Hall, Chief Marketing Officer for Extron. “The new DTP3 CrossPoint Series builds upon this tradition, taking matrix switching to a new level with added versatility and capabilities. The configurable I/O and scaling on all outputs gives plenty of design options for a wide range of presentation environments.”

The systems include DSP with acoustic echo cancellation, a 32×32 Dante interface and compatibility with Extron ProDSP audio processing via the EXP port. A USB audio interface supports connections to computer-based conferencing platforms, and the integrated 200-watt amplifier supports low-impedance, 70-volt and 100-volt speaker loads.

Select models also include integrated ShareLink Pro for wired and wireless content presentation from computers, tablets or smartphones, along with support for digital signage, streaming and active learning workflows.
