Extron Unveils UCS SW 313 for UCC Spaces, Featuring 4K/60 Switching and USB Breakaway

Extron has introduced the UCS SW 313, an 8-port presentation switcher designed for unified communications and collaboration (UCC) environments. The switcher supports three AV inputs, including USB-C and dual HDMI, while five USB device ports allow connections for peripherals such as USB cameras and microphones with data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps.

The UCS SW 313 is designed to simplify connectivity in meeting and collaboration spaces, integrating AV sources and USB peripherals for platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Its USB-C input provides video and audio, data transfer, and up to 60 watts of power to charge laptops, while the HDMI output supports resolutions up to 4K/60.

To streamline content sharing, the UCS SW 313 features auto-switching, which prioritizes active inputs for seamless transitions between sources. Users can also configure input priorities as needed. The device can be controlled via Ethernet or RS-232, providing integration flexibility for AV control systems and displays.

For applications requiring independent switching of USB peripherals, the UCS SW 313 offers USB breakaway switching. This allows USB devices, such as cameras or microphones, to remain connected to a dedicated computer while video and audio inputs are switched separately to the display. This feature supports spaces where users may need to maintain specific USB connections while utilizing different video sources.

The switcher also integrates with Extron’s Show Me cables and Retractors within Cable Cubby or AVEdge enclosures. Users can simply connect their laptop and press the Share button to present content, reducing the need for dedicated control panels in Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) environments.

Designed for modern collaboration spaces, the UCS SW 313 aims to enhance meeting room efficiency with flexible AV switching, USB integration, and simplified control.
