Nanolumens has launched the NanoPanel 55, a new 55-inch Full HD direct-view LED (dvLED) flat panel designed as a direct replacement for LCD displays. The display debuted at the ACI-NA & ACI World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition in Toronto.
The NanoPanel 55 combines the energy efficiency, long lifespan and bezel-free design of dvLED with the familiar footprint and mounting compatibility of traditional flat panels. Using Nanolumens’ Virtual Chip-on-Board (VCOB) technology, the display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a 55-inch cabinet that supports standard VESA mounts, allowing easy integration and retrofitting in existing installations.
Kurt DeYoung, chief revenue officer for Nanolumens, described the NanoPanel 55 as a practical evolution in dvLED technology. “It delivers the long lifespan, energy efficiency and zero-bezel design of dvLED in a familiar flat panel format, giving customers a direct replacement for LCD displays that’s easier to maintain and more cost-effective over time,” DeYoung said.
Designed for applications such as flight information display systems, menu boards, control centers and other high-visibility environments, the NanoPanel 55 operates 24/7 for up to 100,000 hours to half-life while maintaining consistent color and brightness. Its modular design allows for on-site servicing and replacement, reducing downtime and minimizing waste.
With a 0.6 mm pixel pitch and Full HD resolution, the NanoPanel 55 enables multi-panel configurations and delivers deeper blacks, higher contrast and improved visual clarity for large-format digital displays.
