Neutrik Unveils New USB Type-C 5G Chassis Connectors With Integrated Fly-Lead Patch Cables

Neutrik has introduced the NAUSBC-5G-FL series, a new line of D-size USB Type-C chassis connectors designed to deliver high-speed data transfer and reliable power delivery in professional AV and IT environments.

Each connector features integrated fly-lead patch cables at the rear, available in four lengths from 10 to 25 centimeters (3.9 to 9.8 inches). The built-in cables help reduce signal loss by removing a passive couple and simplify installation by providing a direct connection to active equipment. This integration reduces both system cost and complexity while minimizing the risk of accidental cable pullout inside racks or enclosures.

The NAUSBC-5G-FL connectors are rated for 5 Gbps data transmission (USB 3.1 Gen 1) and 100 W (20 V / 5 A) power delivery under the USB Power Delivery 3.1 specification, making them suitable for charging, powering, and connecting devices in demanding AV applications.

Their rugged D-size form factor supports use in AVL rack systems, embedded control units, mobile setups, and charging stations. The connectors also feature UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant and UV-resistant flange materials for durability and safety in both indoor and outdoor installations. Halogen-free cable materials enhance fire safety for indoor use.

The front accepts standard USB Type-C patch cables, while the integrated design ensures robust performance in space-limited or high-demand environments.

The NAUSBC-5G-FL series includes four variations:
