Nureva Adds Coverage Map and Camera Switching to HDL310 Audio System

Nureva has added a coverage map and automated camera switching capabilities to its HDL310 audio conferencing system, expanding functionality for large meeting and learning spaces.

The update uses coordinate-based XY sound location data generated by Nureva’s Microphone Mist technology to show where voices are being picked up throughout a room. The new coverage map provides IT managers and integrators with a real-time, two-dimensional view of microphone pickup, accessible through the Nureva App.

With the update, users can define camera zones, assign cameras or presets to each zone, and monitor microphone activity in real time. As people move and speak, the system uses XY sound location data to trigger the appropriate camera, helping remote participants see where conversations are taking place. When room layouts change, users can apply preconfigured room profiles in the app to update coverage and camera switching settings without manual recalibration.

Nureva said the approach reduces the need for multiple microphones, complex DSP programming, and repeated calibration typically required in traditional camera switching setups. The HDL310 combines built-in Microphone Mist technology with the INOGENI CAM230 multi-camera selector to localize sound and automate camera switching.

The company noted that its HDL410 system for extra-large rooms already includes the same capabilities and has been used to support multi-camera experiences in spaces up to 35 by 55 feet. The HDL310 now brings similar functionality to rooms up to 30 by 30 feet, allowing organizations to use a consistent workflow across both systems.

“As Nureva continues to transform and simplify large-room audio, extending our coverage map and camera switching functionality to the HDL310 system is a natural next step,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “These additional features will help our customers to create a more inclusive hybrid experience, where everyone in the room can be both heard and seen, without adding complexity to their AV stack.”

The coverage map and camera switching features are available now for the HDL310 through the Nureva App at no additional cost. Support in Nureva Console is expected to follow. Nureva will demonstrate the updates at Integrated Systems Europe 2026 at Stand 2N700.
