PPDS Expands Philips Wave Platform with New Remote Management Tools at ISE 2026

PPDS has introduced new enhancements to its Philips Wave remote display management platform at ISE 2026, adding configuration tools, power scheduling features and expanded security notifications aimed at AV and IT teams managing large display fleets.

Developed in house, Philips Wave is a cloud-based platform designed to manage Android SoC Philips Professional Displays remotely. The system allows AV and IT managers, as well as system integrators, to deploy, configure, monitor and maintain display networks from a centralized interface. Since its launch in 2022, the platform has been adopted across retail, corporate, education, banking, insurance, transportation and public venues.

At ISE 2026, PPDS announced what it described as the most significant updates to the platform to date. Among the new capabilities are expanded configuration tools that allow users to create or duplicate display settings and deploy them across multiple screens locally or globally. Firmware updates, applications and software features can also be scheduled and distributed to specific displays or entire fleets from a single location.

According to PPDS, the new tools have been trialed with partners and have reduced installation times by approximately 75 percent in some cases.

Philips Wave also introduces enhanced power scheduling features, allowing screens to be switched off when not in use and brightness levels to be adjusted based on environmental factors such as location or time of year. PPDS said the features are intended to support optimal viewing performance while reducing energy consumption and extending product lifecycles.

Security updates include automated notification features that alert selected users if display activity falls outside defined parameters. Examples include a display scheduled to be on that is switched off or content that does not match approved settings. The system provides 24/7 monitoring and alerts.

Philips Wave holds ISO 27001 certification, reflecting PPDS’ stated commitment to data protection and information security.

“These new configuration updates will be a game changer, substantially simplifying and speeding up project roll out processes and reducing configuration errors, delivering greater value to our partners, and providing new revenue generating opportunities. This is another landmark moment in the evolution of Philips Wave,” said Stuart Millward, Technical Director and UK Education Sales Manager at PPDS.

Ron Cottaar, head of global marketing at PPDS, said the continued development of Philips Wave reflects the company’s focus on expanding its total solutions strategy.

PPDS is demonstrating the updated Philips Wave platform at booth 3N500 during ISE 2026 in Barcelona.
