Photon Education Partners with Midwich to Bring Innovative Engagement & Assessment Ecosystem to U.S. Classrooms
Photon Education has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Midwich to bring its classroom engagement and assessment technologies to schools across the United States.
Photon Education is introducing two primary products to the U.S. market. The Photon Robot is an interactive learning robot designed to help students develop teamwork, communication and STEAM skills through classroom activities and lessons. The company said the platform includes hundreds of ready-to-use lesson plans for educators.
The second solution, Classwise, is a classroom engagement platform that allows teachers to gamify lessons through live quizzes, real-time feedback and data-driven assessments. According to Photon Education, the platform can make lessons interactive without requiring individual devices for students.
The companies said the partnership leverages Midwich’s established distribution network to provide nationwide access to Photon Education’s technologies.
“We provide schools across the United States with innovative, high-quality technologies that support student success. Photon Education was a perfect fit as a partner,” said Chase Bernhardt, Associate Vice President of Business Management at Midwich U.S. “This partnership enables us to expand our portfolio of solutions to support teachers in daily instruction and learning measurements across subjects.”
The companies said the technologies address growing demand for gamified learning tools and solutions that enable real-time assessment of student progress.
The company was founded by Marcin Joka and Michał Grześ, whose work in educational technology has received international recognition, including participation in the MIT business acceleration program and distinctions such as Forbes 30 Under 30, New Europe 100 by Google and the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
Photon Education’s U.S. expansion is led by Chris Klein, vice president of North America. Klein previously worked on the growth of immersive learning technologies in the U.S., including helping scale adoption of the ClassVR platform.
“Our Photon Robot and Classwise are designed to increase student engagement and interaction, helping schools become environments that students and teachers want to return to every day,” said Klein.
Photon Education said its solutions are currently used in classrooms across more than 50 countries.
