
PPDS (aka: Philips Professional Displays) is adding to its outdoor dvLED line up with the launch of the new Philips Urban LED 5000, 6000, and 7000 Series. The Philips Urban LED family are aimed at public venues, high traffic’ed streets and transportation hubs.
Available immediately, the Philips Urban LED 7000 comes in two panel sizes – 500x500mm and 500x1000mm with a choice of 2.9mm, 3.9mm, or 4.8mm pixel pitch options. Offering up to 6,000 nits brightness and up to 3840Hz refresh rates, the Philips Urban LED 7000 is aimed at any kind of outdoor application as they are IP66 rated, dustproof, waterproof and salt spray resistant.

The new Philips Urban LED 6000 Series is a dvLED outdoor solution for outdoor sports venues and monumental signage. Designed for viewing distances between 10-30 metres, the Philips Urban 6000 LED Series are for heavy traffic environments, such as streets, motorways, airports, train and bus stations, or even on the side of buildings. Available in 1200x1200mm, 800x1200mm, and 800x900mm panels and in 6.67mm, 8.3mm, and 10mm pixel pitches, the Philips Urban LED 6000 is available in up to 7,200 nits with an IP65 rating for resistance to water, such as rain or cleaning, as well as potentially hazardous or corrosive airborne pollutants. In fact, the Philips Urban LED 6000 Series will even work in sub-zero conditions of -20°C (-4°F) and extreme temperatures of up to 50°C (122°F), without risk of condensation or breakdown.
Finally, the new Philips Urban LED 5000 Series is PPDS’ first outdoor offering designed for around field, pitch and court perimeters inside stadiums. Meeting the regulations required by professional sports leagues for outdoor LED advertising boards, the new Philips Urban LED 5000 Series are available in 1600x900mm and 2000x900mm panel sizes across three different pixel pitches: 6.67mm, 8.3mm, and 10mm. The Philips Urban 5000 Series features up to 10,000 nits brightness and an IP66 rating.
