Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America has introduced its new P Series LCD laser projectors, expanding its installation lineup with models designed for corporate and higher education environments.
The series includes the XP-P621U-W and XP-P701U-W models and marks the transition of NEC installation projectors to the Sharp brand. The P Series is positioned as an entry installation solution offering installation flexibility, high brightness and low-maintenance operation.
The projectors feature manual horizontal and vertical lens shift, a 1.6x zoom lens and HDBaseT input to simplify installation. HDBaseT enables transmission of audio, video, network and control signals over a single cable. The projectors also support tilt-free and roll-free operation for applications such as floor, ceiling and portrait projection.

Sharp’s sealed cooling system enables a filter-free design, eliminating the need for filter maintenance. The projectors use a 20,000-hour laser light source and are backed by a five-year or 20,000-hour limited parts and labor warranty.
“The P Series represents the next step in our commitment to raising the bar in projection technology,” said Ryan Pitterle, Senior Product Manager, Projectors, Sharp Display Solutions. “When we pair advanced features like the filter-free design and whisper quiet operation with lens shift and HDBaseT support we give customers a reliable solution that works across a variety of environments.”
The Sharp P Series projectors are available through authorized Sharp partners and resellers.
