Sony Professional Displays and Solutions and Ameria have announced a collaboration to deliver a touch-free, gesture-controlled 3D display system designed for professional environments including retail, corporate and education.
The combined solution pairs Sony’s Spatial Reality Display with Ameria’s newly developed StarKit platform and will make its public debut for the European market at Integrated Systems Europe 2026. The companies said it marks the first time the full workflow will be demonstrated as a unified, end-to-end system.
Ameria’s StarKit integrates gesture control, modular software and a content-management platform designed to simplify the deployment of immersive 3D experiences. The system enables users to upload, organize and present existing 3D assets within minutes. It uses two integrated Intel RealSense sensors mounted to align with Sony’s Spatial Reality Display, allowing plug-and-play installation and real-time hand tracking without physical contact with the screen.
By combining Ameria’s interaction technology with its content software, Sony said it can offer a complete out-of-the-box interactive 3D signage solution built around the Spatial Reality Display. The collaboration introduces new use cases for glasses-free 3D interaction across customer-facing and professional environments, with plans to expand into markets such as healthcare, architecture, design, engineering and education.
The companies said the system is designed to meet growing demand for immersive and interactive visual solutions while also supporting sustainability goals. In retail settings, the technology allows products to be presented virtually in multiple configurations, reducing the need for physical samples, inventory storage and transportation. Sony said this approach aligns with its Road to Zero environmental program, which targets a zero environmental footprint by 2050.
“At a time when brands are looking for richer customer experiences and greater operational efficiency, this collaboration delivers a truly unique proposition,” said Rik Willemse, head of professional displays and solutions at Sony Europe. “Paired with Ameria’s gesture-control and content-management capabilities, it opens the door to real-world applications that previously required complex, bespoke setups.”
Albrecht Metter, CEO of Ameria, said the collaboration aims to make immersive 3D experiences easier to deploy across a wide range of industries. He noted that early customer implementations are planned for the first quarter of 2026.
The solution will be offered through select distribution partners across Europe, with availability expected from ISE 2026. Ameria’s StarKit supports Sony’s Spatial Reality Display model ELF-SR2. The package includes a three-year hardware warranty, with software licensing available on an annual basis.
ISE 2026 attendees will be able to see the system in operation at Sony’s booth 3E300, including demonstrations of gesture-controlled 3D interaction and content-management workflows.
