Sony said it will now offer its Crystal LED VERONA video wall on a rental basis. The system (ZRD-VP15EB) supports video walls of up to 40 square meters for high-quality virtual production.
Also new to Sony’s professional lineup are the OCELLUS camera tracking system and the Virtual Production Toolset software solution.
The VERONA features square LED modules that connect in stacks and include surface protection to prevent bending or damage. Optimized for virtual production, the modules use a 1.5-millimeter pixel pitch and can be driven by the Brompton Tessera SX40 processor.
Sony’s Deep Black and Anti-Reflection surface technology delivers 1,500 nits of brightness, a wide color spectrum and a high refresh rate with extremely deep black levels for realistic virtual sets. The VERONA series uses high-performance LED driver ICs capable of refresh rates up to 7,680 Hz, minimizing flicker and artifacts that can occur at today’s high frame rates.
