Wake Forest University is upgrading the video display system at Allegacy Stadium in partnership with Daktronics, adding a new main video board, two side displays and an updated control system ahead of the 2026 football season.
The new end zone display will measure 43 feet high by 90 feet wide and total more than 3,800 square feet, increasing the amount of digital display space and improving image quality compared to the previous system.
Wake Forest said the upgraded display will support variable content zoning, allowing the university to present a mix of live video, replays, graphics, statistics and sponsorship content across different sections of the screen.
“We are excited to continue to enhance the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina with upgrades to the Bob McCreary Video Board Honoring Class of 1961,” said Wake Forest’s Vice President and Director of Athletics John Currie.
In addition to the main display, two side LED displays are being installed, replacing static advertising panels. Each display will measure 43 feet high by 15.5 feet wide and will be used to present additional graphics, statistics and sponsor messaging throughout events.
Daktronics is also providing a Show Control system featuring Camino, which combines display control, video processing and data integration into a single platform for managing game-day content.
According to Daktronics, the system enables real-time content creation and playback, including the ability to automate elements and respond dynamically during live events.
Wake Forest will also receive a digital content package from Daktronics Creative Services as part of the installation.
The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed before the start of the 2026 football season.
