SNA Displays partnered with BBI Engineering to provide LED technology for three exhibits at the newly opened World Heritage Center (WHC) in San Antonio, Texas. The exhibits, designed by G&A, a creative firm specializing in transformative experiences, use dynamic video technology to enhance the visitor experience with traditional imagery and vibrant color.
Located near Mission Marque Plaza, the WHC spans nearly 6,000 square feet and is part of the City of San Antonio’s effort to develop a community hub, with more improvements planned for the area. G&A describes the center as a bridge between history, culture, and community.
Designed to honor the rich heritage of the San Antonio Missions while serving as a dynamic space for both locals and visitors, the center weaves together storytelling, architecture, and technology to create an experience that is both immersive and deeply meaningful. From its interactive exhibits to its role as a gathering place, every detail was crafted with intention—to connect the past with the present and inspire future generations.

BBI Engineering managed and installed the digital museum pieces, selecting SNA Displays’ BRILLIANT Interior LED technology for the exhibits.
“These creative and beautifully designed applications of LED video are a testament to the potential impact of this display technology,” said Richard Hill, SNA Displays’ director of sales for museums and themed entertainment. “All digital screens tell a story, but here we are able to help people engage with their history and culture in a meaningful way. I can think of few more rewarding experiences in our industry than to see people light up with inspiration and wonder when they see these exhibits.””
One of the exhibits, Portals to the Missions, features three LED screens embedded in wooden panels designed to resemble archways from the Spanish Missions’ architecture. The exhibit, which incorporates a 12’5” x 6’6” wide LED screen and two smaller displays, creates the effect of looking through a historical doorway. The wooden panels, etched with artistic designs, also house built-in speakers for a multi-sensory experience.

Another exhibit, Evocative Objects, features two 1.2 mm LED screens on the outer walls of walk-in immersion exhibits. The displays are partially covered with artistic wooden masks in distinct shapes such as diamonds and quatrefoils, symbols commonly found in churches from the era.
The BRILLIANT Interior series from SNA Displays offers flexible display configurations, allowing for creative shapes, including concave and convex curves, as well as pixel-perfect right-angle installations. This versatility helped G&A’s designers bring their vision to life, turning video displays into engaging, interactive art.
