Owl Labs has partnered with Lenovo to introduce a new line of Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR-W) systems that combine Owl Labs’ AI-powered, 360-degree cameras with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart room kits. The collaboration delivers flexible, center-of-room meeting solutions designed to enhance hybrid work experiences and simplify room setup.
The partnership pairs Owl Labs’ Meeting Owl 3 and Meeting Owl 4+ devices with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Core and ThinkSmart Tiny Kit systems, integrating 360-degree audio and video capture with modular, Teams-certified hardware. The joint offering aims to improve meeting equity by giving remote participants a clear view and sound of everyone in the room, regardless of seating position.
According to Frost & Sullivan, the global market for room video devices is expected to reach $7.8 billion by 2029, signaling increased demand for hybrid collaboration tools that enhance communication between on-site and remote teams.
“Hybrid work demands technology that works for everyone, regardless of their location,” said Frank Weishaupt, CEO of Owl Labs. “Teaming up with Lenovo creates a new standard for seamless 360-degree collaboration for hybrid meetings … By combining our center-of-room innovation with Lenovo’s modular approach, we’re reimagining what inclusive hybrid meetings can be.”
The bundles include a Meeting Owl device, Lenovo’s compute hardware, and a Lenovo Controller for one-touch meeting management. Packages range from the entry-level Meeting Owl 3 + ThinkSmart Tiny Kit priced at $2,176, to the premium Meeting Owl 4+ + ThinkSmart Core (Gen 2) with controller, priced between $5,344 and $5,613.
All configurations are available through TD Synnex, LSM, and Ingram in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
“By integrating Owl Labs’ innovative 360-degree camera solutions, we are now able to offer a truly differentiated AI-powered audio-visual experience that complements our existing front-of-room bars offering,” said Marcus Kennedy, general manager of Smart Collaboration at Lenovo.
The combined solution addresses hybrid meeting challenges such as inconsistent audio pickup, narrow camera coverage, and complex room setup. Owl Labs’ devices use AI to automatically focus on whoever is speaking, while Lenovo’s Teams Rooms systems offer secure, managed environments with reliable software updates.
Together, Owl Labs and Lenovo aim to deliver more inclusive, adaptable, and easy-to-manage collaboration spaces for organizations of all sizes.
