Crestron has been named the Official Smart Hospitality Systems Partner for Espai Barça, FC Barcelona’s project to redevelop Spotify Camp Nou and its surrounding campus into a year-round destination for sports, business and hospitality.
As part of the multi-year partnership, Crestron is providing technology infrastructure throughout the venue, including systems for content distribution, collaboration and control across hospitality spaces, meeting rooms, VIP areas, press facilities and operational environments.
Espai Barça is FC Barcelona’s initiative to modernize Spotify Camp Nou and expand the surrounding district into a multifunctional destination designed to operate beyond match days.

“Espai Barça is about building what the modern venue should be. Going beyond the match days of each season, this new venue is primed to be active and lively all 365 days of the year,” said Brad Hintze, EVP, Global Customer Success & Marketing for Crestron. “Crestron is powering the infrastructure behind it by enabling every space to adapt instantly, operate seamlessly, and deliver consistent experiences at massive scale.”
According to Crestron, the deployment centers on a unified platform that allows spaces to be reconfigured for different uses, including sporting events, meetings and hospitality functions. The company said the deployment is designed to provide consistent user experiences across hundreds of environments throughout the venue.
“Crestron’s arrival as Official Smart Hospitality Systems Partner is another important step in our ambition to make Espai Barça a global benchmark for innovation, connectivity and premium hospitality,” said Marc Bruix, Global Partnerships Director at FC Barcelona.
With capacity for more than 100,000 fans and a wide range of hospitality, media and operational spaces, Spotify Camp Nou represents one of the most complex venue environments in the sports industry. Crestron said the project reflects a broader trend toward multipurpose venues that require technology platforms capable of supporting a variety of experiences throughout the year.
The company said the infrastructure approach used at Spotify Camp Nou can also be applied to corporate campuses, hospitality environments and other large-scale facilities that require standardized technology across multiple spaces.
