Ashton Bentley Introduces Cisco-Certified Upgrade Path for Legacy Meeting Rooms

Ashton Bentley has introduced a new display mounting solution designed to help organizations modernize legacy Cisco collaboration spaces without requiring a complete room redesign.

The new ABMX Display Mount range provides a structured migration path for organizations upgrading from Cisco MX Series systems to newer Cisco Room devices, including the Cisco Room Bar, Room Bar Pro and Room Kit EQ.

Built on Ashton Bentley’s Cisco Certified Display Mount Chassis platform, the systems are available in single- and dual-display configurations supporting displays from 43 to 115 inches. The company said the modular design is intended to simplify deployment by incorporating display mounting, cable management, power distribution and service access into a single solution.

Unlike traditional AV installations, the platform is designed for tool-less assembly, reducing installation time and minimizing building modifications.

“Our collaboration with Ashton Bentley enables enterprises to manage upgrades to their collaboration investments in a scalable way,” said Tom Richards, senior director of strategy and go-to-market at Cisco. “Customers with old, end-of-support Telepresence MX systems now have a simple and repeatable upgrade path to the latest Cisco Room systems.”

The mounting architecture supports floor-to-wall, freestanding and mobile configurations. Because the structural load is carried by the floor rather than the wall, the system can be deployed in environments where wall mounting may not be practical, such as glass-walled offices or historic buildings.

According to Ashton Bentley, the platform is also approved for Cisco deployments using Microsoft Teams Rooms under Microsoft’s Express Install solution guidelines, allowing organizations to standardize meeting spaces while maintaining flexibility across collaboration platforms.

The company also offers an optional AV infrastructure system that replaces traditional rack-based equipment with a two-box architecture supporting 4K video, USB-C and HDMI connectivity, bring-your-own-device workflows and integration with the Cisco Room Navigator.

“Together with Cisco, we’re redefining how organizations approach collaboration upgrades,” said Tony Leedham, chief commercial officer at Ashton Bentley.
