ATEN Launches 8K Dual-Display KVMP Switches for High-Resolution Multitasking

ATEN International has introduced the CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA USB 3.0 8K DisplayPort dual-display KVMP switches, expanding its lineup of desktop control solutions designed for high-resolution, multi-system workflows.

The CS1942DPA supports two computers, while the CS1944DPA supports four, allowing users to control multiple systems from a single dual-monitor console using one keyboard and mouse. Both models support resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, targeting environments that require detailed visuals and smooth motion, including content creation, engineering, financial analysis and office administration.

ATEN said the switches support ultra-wide display formats, including 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, to accommodate users working with large datasets or expansive desktop layouts.

Each switch includes a built-in two-port USB 3.0 hub that enables peripheral sharing across connected computers. The switches include an integrated 2-port USB 3.0 hub that supports peripheral sharing across connected systems at speeds up to 5 Gbps.

“In an era where ultra-high-definition content and high-speed data throughput are essential, these KVMP switches are designed to support demanding multitasking workflows,” said Nicholas Lin, senior vice president of ATEN International. He said the combination of high-resolution video, fast switching and peripheral integration is intended to support productivity across professional environments.

The switches support multiple port-switching methods, including front-panel pushbuttons, keyboard hotkeys, mouse control, RS-232 commands and an optional remote port selector. ATEN also said two units can be daisy-chained to support quad-display configurations while maintaining control through a single keyboard and mouse.
